I have a PR55-17A Wireless USB Modem and a PR55-61E 1-channel vibration sensor plus. The 2.4 GHz XBee3 stopped being read for some reason on the sensor; it cannot be detected on XCTU.
Swapped both the sensor and modem radios with the 900 MHz XBee PRO S3B. Downloaded the profiles and used XCTU to set it up. The modem is fine and is detected on Node-Red. However, the sensor is going into a blinking pattern as shown.
Is this the radio module that came with the sensor? At any point, was it taken out and connected to XCTU, and set to default or changed any other settings?
the led pattern indicates on board mcu cant communicate with the radio
The module that came with the sensor went through the same thing. So I took it out and tried to read it through XCTU which failed. Tried to troubleshoot following steps for no read XBee3s, which failed too. I had extra 900 MHz units lying around, and I have been trying to get the sensor and modem to work with them.
So no, these weren’t the ones that came with the sensor (the sensor and modem originally had 2.4 GHz ones). I can detect the modem one on XCTU but not the sensor one. I followed the instructions on this page.
I do not have a reader for the radio module, so I have to swap the radios to the USB modem and read it through that. Hope that does not have any effect.
I have followed the instructions. Now the wireless sensor does not provide any indication in the status light once reset is pressed (lights up when config is pressed). I have further reapplied both the profiles you have provided on the website and set the baud rate to be identical. and encryption off on both ends.
Hi @learningncdio Could you please download and install the Comm Operator serial tool from the following link:
This tool will allow us to monitor the log messages sent by the sensor. To proceed, connect the sensor to your computer using your USB Modem. Please note that the wiring for this connection is identical to the one used for performing a firmware update.
Once connected, please capture and share a screenshot of the logs displayed in the tool.
Is it fine to connect it via the USB serial adapter and not the modem? Once I opened the Comm operator, do you need a screenshot of it as it is, or do you want me to do anything?
P.S I have a message limit here; if that can be disabled, great!
