I would like to make a change in the hardware in the ethernet modem. I want to change the lantronix that comes in the card for a Lantronix Xport pro, because I believe that it could read the sensor data directly by modbus. It will work?
The XPort Pro would require your own custom firmware (we do not have firmware for this particular application). The XPort comes pre-loaded with Ethernet to Serial conversion. The XPort Pro comes to us blank with no firmware installed.
