Ultrasound sensor settings

Hello,

I am currently configuring tubular ultrasonic sensors (PR63-27C). Most of the parameters are similar to those of the V4 vibration sensors, except for one: “Ultrasound Max Time-Domain Samples,” which can take the values 2048, 4096, 8192, or 16384. I’d like to know how to set this parameter depending on the application.

Also, when I read the sensor data, I see the “ultrasonic_rms_dBuV” and “ultrasonic_peak_to_peak_dBuV” values. Since I’m not familiar with using ultrasonic sensors, I’d like to know what threshold values I should set for my alarms to protect my low-speed bearings.

Max sample – this is only needed if you want to request time-domain ultrasound data.
by defualt its 4096

For alarm, use the rms_dbuV value. You can establish a baseline, and if the db value goes around 8dbuV above that, you should trigger an alarm
