Tutorial on adding an external power supply to vibration sensor

Hi all,
My workplace recently have begun testing vibration frequencies on cnc machines and one issue we are realizing is the battery life for the IoT Long Range Wireless Vibration And Temperature Sensor is not ideal. While browsing the community, I noticed a couple people were manually adding external power. Is there a tutorial for this somewhere? Is it a good idea?

Hi,
The vibration sensor can be purchased with external power supply. if you want to add power supply to existing sensor you can connect to battery terminal ( max 4V).
