Turning Off auto-transmissions

I am trying to configure some wireless IoT sensors, and I know I can configure the delay to control how often the sensors send transmissions to our MQTT micro gateway. When testing we noticed that given a significant state change, such as a significant change in roll or pitch on our inclination sensor or a state change in our Hall effect sensor, it will override the delay we set and send a transmission anyway. Is there a way to disable this feature?

Hi,

It is possible to increase the roll/pitch angle threshold. By default I believe it is 20º so if the state changes by 20º or more the sensor will send a transmission. This setting however is not configurable through the Micro Gateway. You will need a USB modem to configure this sensor. Do you have a USB modem by chance? This is the USB modem:

Thank you,

Hey Travis, no we do not have a USB modem. Is this the only way to configure these settings? We also have a vibration sensor we want to change transmission rate settings for.

@jtob I would very very highly recommend switching away from the MQTT Micro Gateway to our Enterprise Lite gateway here:

The Enterprise Lite Gateway comes with Node-Red and our libraries pre installed. It is compatible with all Enterprise series wireless sensors, has more processing power, can dashboard data locally, and allows for configuration of all settings on all sensors. Also it would actually allow for monitoring raw data from your vibration sensor. The Micro Gateway is just very limited in it’s capabilities and is a sunset product.

Hey @TravisE_NCD_Technica , the only issue is, I am working on a senior design team for a university, and we have a lot of work put into the MQTT side of things and frankly our professors may be upset with a change this late into the game. We only have a little over a month left before our project is over. Even with that, is it reasonable to expect we could get this in time to rework our system with the gateway? Would it be possible to swap our MQTT gateway for the enterprise gateway as they are similarly priced?
