Tubular vibration sensors drain their batteries quickly

Hello,

I have installed several tubular vibration/temperature sensors at one of my customers’ plants.

This customer reported to me that several sensors drained their batteries in just a few weeks (days for some). This seems abnormal to me, considering the long period of battery operation I’ve observed with V3 vibration/temperature sensors.

Here’s the list of parameters I’ve used with one of these sensors. Could you please give me your opinion on what could be causing this situation.

Thank you in advance for your help.

can you share firmware version on these ?

Hi Bhaskar,
Most of them are firmware 20

Theoretically with this settings and Int enabled the batteries should last over a year.
how many msg are you getting in one hour ?

Sensors send one reading every 30 min. So, 2 readings per hour.

whats the environment conditions ?

The sensors are installed in an industrial bakery where bread is made. The temperature is controlled at around 68°F (20°C) and humidity is also controlled.

One of the sensors, which quickly discharged its batteries, is installed in a closed room with stainless steel walls (a sort of Faraday cage).

On the other hand, another faulty sensor is installed in a large open room with no obstacles between the receiver and the sensor.

The sensors all have more or less the same settings (see first post).

Thanks

if you are using node red, can you share node red flow ?
