The Gen3 actually covers both the Revision 1 and 2 hardware of the ethernet module. Functionality wise they should be identical. The only reason the hardware change occurred was due to supply chain shortages of the original chipset.
The Lantronix Module was considered the Gen 2, the Gen 1 was a Digi ConnectME module.
Jacob, a follow up question. Customer asked us if these Lantronix modules supported SNMP which could be disabled for security. I didn’t think so and saw no reason to believe there was some kind of support for it but I wanted to check with you anyway. Thanks
