Hi All,
Just fried my Pi 3B and probably an NCD Current Monitor board. All my fault.
As I looked at this setup, I started questioning the power supplies to the Pi and also the NCD board.
Attached is a picture of the setup. Of course, each board has it’s own power supply (not shown); but, it seemed that perhaps the NCD board should not have one. Since I did not find this in the documentation (or that I did not know where to look), I figured I would ask.
Thus the question: Should each of the boards have it’s own power supply? Or, does the NCD board draw parasitic power from the Pi 3B? Before I release the magic smoke again, I figured that I would make sure.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
