I just received S/N#625293654 proxr lite relay board and can’t get any of the relays to respond using the NCD-Base application(version 4.0.8). Meaning, all the relays remain off no matter what I set in NCD-Base. The relay-indicator LEDs remain off and I also have an ohm-meter across the NO of the relay to verify. The NCD-base app does communicate successfully with the board. We have an older version of the same board that is working and in-service and I don’t recall having this problem. The Quality Control and Diagnostics dialog shows all tests as FAIL. I’m out of ideas, so any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
Usually there’s two main things that cause this:
Automatic Refresh is disabled
Automatic refreshing means the relays will update as soon as their control commands are received. If its disabled you need to send a secondary command to actually actuate the relays and until that’s done those relay states will just sit in memory. You can find more about this from section 5.1 of this guide: ProXR Quick Start Guide - NCD.io
Power supply voltage is too low
The relays require 12VDC in order to actuate. Usually if this is the case the LEDs still come on though so this one is less likely. Basically there’s enough voltage to drive the processor and communications, but not to drive the relay.
