Hi @germain
The processor on that temperature humidity sensor uses the Digi Mesh API to communicate with the on board module. If you install the Zigbee profile on the module that API is different and the processor will not be able to communicate with it so it will not work with the Zigbee profile.
It’s possible you could use it with a Digi Gateway, but the raw data from the sensor would need to be parsed into real world values. My question would be why use the Digi Gateway rather than the gateway we offer?
Thank you,
Travis
thanks for your reply. We already have the digi gateway implemented and we want to add a sensor compliant with the DIGI environment. What are the needed steps for using a NCD sensor in the DIGI environment?
Hi Germain,
Our devices do use Digi modules, however they are DigiMesh protocol modules. Trying to use DigiMesh devices with a Zigbee gateway would be similar to attempting to connect a Bluetooth device to a WiFi device, they are simply different protocols.
If you plan to use our long range wireless devices I would highly recommend using our Enterprise IIoT Gateway here:
Thank you,
