NCD 4-Port endNode email question

I have configured the 4-port endNode for exactly what we need and it works perfectly. The question we have is on email frequency. If an error condition contact closure triggers an email notice and it takes us an hour (for example) to get to the site to resolve the issue, the emails appear to flood the mailbox. Is there a setting that can vary an email to every 15 Min (for example)?

Currently there is no “throttling” to the email frequency. To be honest it just has not been requested until now. It’s a feature we could add however.

It sounds like the input is being triggered repeatedly by the equipment(contact is closing and opening repeatedly). Is that something that could be resolved on the equipment?

Hi Travis, to be honest, it was my email test of putting a jumper across Input 4 and left it connected there. I wasn’t sure if it would trigger or what would happen. I noticed the repeated emails and wanted to ask the question. We will be using the 4-port to monitor facility HVAC units, so if there is an issue, the contact closes. Will keep you posted.
