Micro Gateway Console Connection

What’s the trick to opening a console connection to the micro gateway device? I’m on Mac OS and have a direct usb connection to the micro gateway. The console connection shows up under /dev/ as “tty.usbserial-023F5A40”, and I can open a console connection to it using Screen with “screen /dev/tty.usbserial-023F5A40 baud_rate 115200”, but I don’t see any output. When I change the baud rate to 9600 I see do see some scrambled output.

Hi,

The USB port on the micro gateways is only intended to allow firmware updates and not to read wireless sensors data. To do this you would need a USB modem.

The micro gateways are designed to communicate to just the protocol or service they are built for.

Thanks, is there a specific modem I would need? Would that be an NCD part?
