(FTDI FT232) Driver not working

I cannot get passed step one… I am with another tech trying to install the (FTDI FT232)

But we cannot see the Com port. or the NCD device. We try to install the driver manually and everything seems installed. We get the double green heck marks.

Any idea how to get passed this issu?

Have you tried a different USB port?

Does the device appear in the Device Manager as an unknown USB device?
