FR45 Relay Blown at 40v

Hello,

Someone in our office plugged one of our FR45 relays into a 40v power supply and it blew. The reason they did this is because one of our customer did this to their FR45 relay and it did not blow. Either way ours did.

Looking at the board it looks like the diodes blew because one of them is damaged. Can this generally be repaired by replacing the two diodes? Does NCD do repairs on hardware? If so, is it possible to get a repair estimate for this knowing that it was plugged into a 40v power supply?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

You could attempt replacing the diodes if you’d like, otherwise you can fill out an RMA here and return the board for repair:
NCD Login - NCD.io

Thank you,
Travis

Assuming that is all that needs to be done can you give me an estimate of the repair costs?

Thanks

Tom

I got the email for the repair costs. If we don’t want to replace at this time, what can I do to get the reminder email from being sent?

Thanks
