Environmental Air Quality Monitoring

I wish to monitor the environmental air quality and temperature in 4 different locations throughout a 10-acre industrial facility. I want to be able to monitor the data from the PC in my office running MS Windows 10. I plan to accomplish this by placing 4 of the wireless particulate air matter sensors where I want them and installing a wireless USB modem on my office PC. Is there a Windows 10 compatible software platform that comes with the modem or available from ncd.io that will give me a GUI to monitor the air quality parameters?

Hi @patn0011 Because The Industrial Wireless Modems are defined as devices that receive wireless data from remote sensors and forward these data to a different communications format, such as USB, they are not capable of interpreting the data in any way.

What I would recommend you is to install Node-RED on your PC. You can use this guides:

We offer a library for Node-RED that allows you to manage and retrieve sensor data from the USB Modem.

With Node-RED you can also (among many other things) create dashboards to visualize the data in real time. That is to say take the data you receive on your USB Modem and send it to Widgets inside the Dashboard.

Note: Another option you could evaluate is to use The Enterprise IIoT Gateway Lite:

Which comes with node-red and the NCD library pre-installed and ready to use. This way you don’t need to install any software on your PC.

Please take a look at it and let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
