Connecting to WiFi on Temp/Humi Sensor for MQTT

I’ve just received my “Direct to Cloud WiFi Temperature Humidity Sensor for MQTT”. Upon following the setup instructions, I’m unable to connect my phone or computer to the sensor’s wifi network using the default “NCDBeast” password. It tells me incorrect password when using “NCDBeast” and “NCDBeast.” (just in case the period in the instructions happened to be a part of the password). I attempted to connect on a MacBook Pro with M4 Pro chip on Sequoia 15.7.3 and with an iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 26.3.

Any recommendations to troubleshoot?

I have heard of this problem in the past(not able to connect with the default password NCDBeast) however to be honest I have never been able to replicate it and no customer has ever continued the conversation long enough to figure it out. From what I gather most of the time this is resolved by factory resetting the device(Press and hold the CFG button until the LED begins flashing random colors. After it reboots the LED will flash Blue for Config mode and you can try connecting again.
