I am trying to connect a mqtt micro gateway with a remote mosquitto broker but am not seeing anything coming through. I currently have the broker connected with other IoT devices on the same network so I know the path is clear. the only difference is that the micro gateway is connecting with the router via wifi vs ethernet.
Try installing MQTTFX on a computer connected over WiFi exactly the same as the MQTT Gateway and see if you are able to connect using MQTTFX. It can be downloaded here:

Thanks for the tip, I figured out that it was actually due to the WiFi password using special characters, once i changed the password things worked just fine.
