Calibration of sensors

Hi…

My company stores tracks temperature and humidity though a system utilising Direct to Cloud WiFi Temperature Humidity Sensor for MQTT unit [PR58-1_MQTT_2001]

We are being asked by a regulatory authority to demonstrate how the sensor unit is calibrated so the questions I have please are:

  1. Do the sensors within the unit require calibration and if so, what are the recommended intervals and is this via replacement or service task?

  2. Do the sensors require any cleaning at all and where can we find such instructions?

  3. We are currently cross checking the monitored temperature/humidity with a calibrated thermometer at regular intervals - if there are no calibration tasks required by NCO, are there any additional actions we should consider to help detect any drift in the sensors accuracy?

Many thanks

Hi Neil,
we use the temp humidity chipset from sensirion and these are digital sensor with ultra low drift and do not require any regular calibration. The sensor chipset comes pre calibrated ( lot calibration ) from the supplier.

Thanks

Thanks Bhaskar.

That’s very helpful thanks.

Can you please confirm as to whether there is any simple maintenance required on this unit?

Thank you again.
