ALL relays toggle off and back on

My system has a system has a Digital to Analog control board ZAD1216PROXR with an XR Expansion port. The interface to this board is the Ethernet NCD5500 communications board. Connected to the XR Expansion Port I have a PRO60-112_XR1630 relay board. Connected to this relay board is a PRO60-86_XR165 relay board.

I am using Base station to send command to individual relays and for a few of my relays I operate as a DPDT configuration using the command to operate 2 consecutive relays. I have seen on several occasions when I change the state of just one relay or sometimes the relay pair, ALL the relays in that group will flash off before they set to the correct state. I am concerned that when changing the state of just one relay, that the command is cycling the state for all 8 relays in the group.

CAN this be eliminated?

It has been 7 days without any kind of response. Can someone answer my questions?

Hi,

Apologies I missed this post last week.

Relay grouping commands implement a break before make functionality which will turn off the relays in the bank before setting the states again to the new state.

If this is not desired you’ll need to set the status of the relays using a different command. For instance using this command covered in section 2.7 of this guide: ProXR Quick Start Guide - NCD.io which would first require reading the current state of the relays from the board first using the command in section 6.1 of that same guide.

If you’re strictly controlling the relays through Base Station you can Turn off Automatic refreshing which will allow you to set the desired state of the relays through Base Station and then send a command to update the relay states seperately.
