Wireless RS485 Modbus Sensor for Energy Monitoring?

Hello,

We have a scenario where we need to get data from this device: Accuenergy Acuvim II

We would like to obtain data from this device every minute.

Based on the data sheet, it communicates over RS485 Modbus.

Is this the correct NCD device to use to fetch this data, transmit it wirelessly to a Robustel NCD gateway, and process the data using Node Red? If so, which version?

I am quite ignorant of the Modbus protocol and how to process with NCD, so I would appreciate some help and also advice or alternative solutions for doing power monitoring via the NCD system (we already use CT clamps from NCD but we need more power quality info this time).

Thank you;

it should work, i tried my best to read the manual to find the reg list but this meter manual is 295 page long and i gave up after few minutes.

Hi @Bhaskar thank you for the quick reply. Are you able to dig in a bit more for us? There is potential for us to deploy dozens of these for a big project, so it would be quite helpful to get a bit more insight from you and your team.

Alternatively, I can look for this info myself… but I don’t know what to look for.

Thank you

best option will be check with manufacture and see if they can share modbus reg table.

also what parameters do you need to extract from this ?

At this point, any of the following variables is on the table:

Chapter 6 in the manual Starting on Page 180 seems to have a list of all paramteres:

Is this what we are looking for?

yup this will work. all you will need to do is build a function ndoe to decode

Perfect. You are the man @Bhaskar ! We appreciate your support! :slight_smile:
