Voltage question

Good morning,
I have a question regarding the max voltage of the relay on the R120PL. We are looking to control a set of LED lights (tube style, retrofitted into former fluorescent light bays in a drop ceiling) via RS-232. The voltage is 277 volts, however, it looks like the max voltage on the R120 relay is 240v. Can the relay still handle that voltage since the load is so light? Or can you recommend another RS-232 controlled relay that can handle 277v? Thanks!

Kurt

Hi Kurt,

We don’t actually manufacture the relays themselves used in the board. However experience tells me you should have no problems exceeding the max voltage a bit as long as you are no where near the board’s amperage limit.

Thank you Travis. That is what I figured on the voltage, just wanted to be sure.
