Two Channel Vib V3 Sampling interval setting

Hi all,

It seems that the sampling interval is fixed on 15 minutes.
I can not change that value via the config setting.

Somebody with the same experience / have a solution?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
Leendert

it can be changed using node red.
monitors the sensor cofg response and makes sure you get a true response for all settings, if not put the sensor in cfg mode again.
or use OTN cfg mode.

Thanks Bhaskar, it works!

Hi Bhaskar,

Now all things works I have two very practical questions and I hope you will clarify things:

Question 1)
How can sometimes the RMS value be bigger than the Max value of a sensor in the same direction?
The timeframe of the measurement of both calculations must be the same, right?
See screenshot:

x1_rms_ACC_G: 1.385
x1_max_ACC_G: 0.917

Question 2)
Where can I find the default settings of the Two-Channel-Vib V3 sensor node?

Many thanks in advance.

Leendert

  1. Yes, RMS can be higher than Max ( because the vibration data is not pure sine wave).
Product manual – NOTE — RMS is calculated using Parseval’s theorem.
  2. I will see if I can get fault settings.

Hi Bhaskar,

Thanks for the quick reply.

As far as my knowledge the RMS value can indeed be equal to the peak value for exact rectangel signals (but infinite steepness is not possible, so always a bit less), but never greater then the Max value.
Can you please double check the internal calculations?

Many thanks in advance.

Knowing the default values of the Two-Channel-Vib-V3 sensor node is important for us, so it would be great to know.
Another important parameter : ( Sampling Duration 1= 50msec, 2= 100msec) : Only these two values or can I fill in higher value-steps?

I’m very confident with this sensor-node!
Is triggering / starting a mwasurement based on a channel value threshold a future development?
Thanks.

Leendert

default value – odr 800
full-scale range – 8g

Hi Bhaskar,

I will have a look into it.
Thanks!
