Shield compatibility

I learned recently from an NCD support engineer that the Arduino shield will also work with the Mega (though I haven’t actually tried it yet);

Is the “Arduino Micro” shield also compatible with the Arduino Pro Mini ?? I have a couple of the latter that I want to put to good use as 4-20mA senders/receivers using the appropriate NCD modules.

The two(Micro and Mini) do not appear to have the same footprint or pinout so they would not be physically compatible. The only way I could see to make that work would be to breadboard the setup together which may be more trouble that it’s worth.
