PR49-24C External Power

Hello,

I have a bunch of PR49-24C Light sensors that I would like to externally power via the 12V Jack. I plugged in a +12VDC supply (Center positive) to the sensor without the batteries installed and turned it on using the switch. To test the sensor I pushed the CFG button to see if the LED would turn on. When doing this the LED does not turn. I assume this means the jack is not supplying power. See the image below of my setup.

How would I go about externally supplying these sensors?

Thanks,

Jordan

Hi
can you measure voltage across pin 1 and 10.
does it work with battery ?

Thanks

I figured it out. The switch needs to be in the “OFF” position for external power. The documentation on the site does not reflect this.

its a slide switch, it will connect the power source to battery or external depending on the position.

Thanks
