Issues with 1 channel 1 way remote contact closure communicating using ethernet

Hi all,

Please excuse my ignorance as I’m a bit new to this world. I purchased the “Ethernet Network Contact Closure Remote SPDT Relay Controller 1-Channel 1-Way”. I have everything connected power wise as well as both transmitter and receiver connected to the same network (192.168.1.135 & 136). I have a test push button setup on the transmitter side connected to NC and COM and the corresponding connections on the push button. When pressing this push button, it appears that no signal is being sent/received on the receiver as I don’t get a busy light at all. I have a toner connected to leads and I get no indication of any kind of signal being sent to the output of the receiver.when I use the “short” or “volts” option on my toner. Any advice? Anything is appreciated and again, apologies for my ignorance as I’ve only been learning access controls for about a year or so.

I would recommend reviewing the information in this guide which explains how to setup the Ethernet Mirror products:

Please take a look and let u know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Travis

Awesome, I appreciate this info. I followed the guide and was able to get the settings changed. Now in the final testing portion it says confirm the communication by looking at the light adjacent to the ethernet port and it should be solid red. I do not have that nor is it flashing however, the busy and ready lights are flashing on both boards; will that suffice? Do you also know what the best method to test the outputs on the receiver board is?

Disregard the last question. I had the receiver and transmitter setup backwards. Once I rewired everything I was able to send an input signal through the transmitter and confirm using my toner that a signal was sent though the output on the receiver. Thank you for the assistance!
