Humidity/Air Temperature Sensor Probe Lifespan

Hello,

I am wondering what the lifespan for the humidity/air temperature probes looks like. I have some that are a few years old/rusty and I’m wondering if I need to replace them at this point.

Are there standalone humidity probes available for sale?

Thanks

Hi Matthew,

I would say the sensor element is fine, but you could replace the porcelain filter housing. Can you provide photos?

Thank you,
Travis

Here’s an example of some that are moderately rusty. There are some where the whole filter is rusty.

Hey Travis, following up on this. I sent a picture of the probe above.

Yeah, I would say those filter housings need replacement. After so long they begin to clog. They would probably read temperature accurately but humidity monitoring may not be as accurate.

Send me a private message with your shipping address and we will work on getting you some replacement housings.

Thank you,
Travis
