Current monitor at house

Hello, I am interested in buying a current monitor and I have a few questions.

  1. I am planing to measure the current at my house which uses 3 phase 220V, do I need a 2 channel or 3 channel current monitor? I will also have a particle board on it to send real time data.

  2. The product page asks for an amperage value, are these from 0 - X? Like if I choose 20 AMPS will it measure from 0-20? Its not clear on the product page.

  3. What is the best way to wire the current monitor board at a house, do you put it into the mains power box? Do i need to wire a plug in there too?

Thanks

Hi,

  1. Its highly unusual to have 3 phase at a residence, but if you want to monitor the whole house you would need to monitor all three legs so you would need 3-Channels.

  2. Yes if you choose 20 Amps it will measure from 0-20 Amps.

  3. This will depend on the installation location, environment, and local codes. We recommend using a professional installation service when it comes to mains and breaker boxes.
